Samukelo Motaung (27) was born in Durban and raised in Free State in a small town called Harrismith. Mr. Motaung is the founder of the non-profit organization Ithemba Lethu Emergency Services which is dedicated in providing reliable transportation for patients requiring medical attention at clinics or hospitals.
Mr Motaung was raised by his grandmother, " I was raised by my late grandmother when my mother was busy working, she used to say go bless those who give with pure heart and expect nothing in return, '' he said. Mr Motaung once worked in a health facility in KZN, where he noticed healthcare facilities have shortages of funds, which leads to patients being not fully taken off.

Mr Motaung mentioned that the NGO company Ithemba Lethu was named by him , the name brings hope to the people of South Africa. They recognize the challenges faced due to the delayed response of the government ambulance services and they are committed to addressing the gap. Mr Motaung said, '' Their primary focus is on serving that are elderly and individuals with disabilities, ensuring that they receive timely and efficient accepted to health care facilities, he added, Our mission is to offer dependable acceptance and compassionate services to enhance the experience for the vulnerable groups.
Mr Motaung said he was inspired by the area he grew up in, and that is why he started this kind of non-profit initiative. I noticed I am around rural areas and there are lots of people who are living with disabilities, I like to help them as they don't feel like there are existing and are recognized, That is where I started this non-profit organization that where I started this company to meet them halfway with no intentions of money, " Mr Motaung said.
He sadly mentioned that there is one clinic and hospital that serves four serve four surrounding towns. Mr Motaung really wanted to register his NGO but this service needs a car petrol , office which needs internet data maintanance all those things. Mr Motaung decided to to register a private comapany but with affordable price of R200 that amount is going to cover all their services.
Mr Motaung is also working in partnership with Thato Molili , Molasedi Moseki, Zimbili Madonsela , Kamohelo Molaung , Nomalungelo Nkabinde , Sthokoziso Miya and Kamagelo.
Mr Motaaung with one of the elders in community of Harrismith accompanying him to the clinic with a free transportation that is offered by Ithemba Lethu Emergency Services.
Mr Motaung stated that , They wish to continue helping and one day we are hoping that we will be able to operate in other provinces. Also they aim to keep working on our vision which , is to be at the forefront of transforming community health services , so that individuals , regardless of age , disablity has seamlesss accesss to essential to medical care and we aspire to set a new standard.
