THE KWAZULU NATAL PREMIER THAMI NTULI SETS AMBITIOUS AGENDA FOR KWAZULU NATAL

The two-days gathering, held on July 23-24, brought together the Provincial Executive Council to discuss pressing issues in the province of KwaZulu-Natal

The Lekgotla cabinet comprehensive discussion shared insights and developed actionable plans to enhance governance and service delivery in KZN. Premier Ntuli highlighted the Lekgotla's focus on developing a clear plan of action, prioritizing projects, and assigning responsibilities. The executive council discussed and took decisions on several issues, they also approved the Premiers appointment of the MEC for transport and human settlements Mr Sbonise Duma as the leader of government in businesses.


"we have had robust discussion about the state of our province to rebuild and recalibrate our province, we have selectively set a strong foundation for the development of a vigorous and actionable plan and we are looking at better strategies so that people of KwaZulu-natal can see change.”said Ntuli


He continued to state that the KwaZulu-natal cabinet Lekgotla has resolved to straighten the capacity and support for the struggling municipalities to ensure that they are capable of providing basic services to KZN people and facilitate economic growth.



“As the provincial government we are popularly interested to see eThekwini municipality resolve some of the major challenges they are facing popularly in the provision of water and sanitation services ,and the removal of solid waste, we are also going to deploy members of the Executive Council and heads of department to Operation Sukuma Sakhe district development model champions.” Said Ntuli


The provincial government also emphasized construction and infrastructure development as central to their new economic growth strategy. Premier Ntuli assured that the plan would be people-centered, focusing on better strategies to bring change to the people of KwaZulu-Natal. The Cabinet Lekgotla also discussed and took decisions on fighting crime and unemployment issues in the province.
