123 undocumented foreign nationals were arrested during an early morning SAPS operation in Durban CBD Point

KwaZulu Natal Premier Thami Ntuli is sending a clear message to all undocumented nationals in the province. In the early morning of 27 August, the South African Police Service conducted an integrated operation in Point Durban CBD with the Premier of KZN Thami Ntuli, Metro police, Correctional Services and Home Affairs, and other law enforcement agencies. In their operation of cleaning the hijacked buildings around the Durban CBD and getting back the authority of the state in the raided buildings.
After the police integrated operation, KZN police commissioner General Lieutenant Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi issued a statement revealing that police had found 123 illegal foreigners and counterfeit foreign US Dollars currency which is equivalent to R4.1 million. During the operation, six buildings were raided and one of the buildings was found to be a municipality-owned building, which was occupied illegally. A person who was allegedly collecting rent money from illegal residents was taken to questioning police. During the operation, a total of 117 rounds of ammunition of various calibers was also found, Police end up founding one of the suspects who had cocaine and crystal meth with an undisclosed amount of money.
KwaZulu Natal Premier Thami Ntuli has made it clear that undocumented immigrants should go back to their home countries, " We are not being xenophobic because we are saying all the foreign nationals who are here in KwaZulu Natal who have documents, who are here legally we support their presence in the province of KwaZulu Natal, " he said. He continues emphasizing that those who are not here illegally they must go back to their home country so that they can get the proper documents, which will allow them to be in the province of KwaZulu Natal legally.
