A South African Police shootout with the muders suspects at KwaDlangezwa where three suspects were fataly wounded

On the 25 July 2024 the Provincial Commisioner of South African Police Service issued a statement, informong the public about the suspects who have been fatally wounded in shootout with ploice at Eskhalaeni. This incident occured at Esikhaleni , not so long two days back at Inanda , three murders suspects who were wanted for a string of murders including the 2023 murder , including the muder of Sergent Yekani(37) a a police surgents who was killed in a congo area at Inanda on Tuesaday.
Police respondents to various report of an ATM bombing at Store in Esikhaleni and Swift investigations led to arrest of the driver of the suspects getway vehicle. Another vehicle which the suspects were using was spotted at Madlakana area and with the suspects failing to obey the lawful instructions from the police and shooting at the men of law , a shootout resulted in one suspects sustaining fatal gunshots wounds. Also in the statement that was issued in the morning today , it also state that a firemen was found in his possesion.
The suspects were not arrested as they end up escaping , a search police is currently undrerway at the nearby surgance farm where other suspects ran into as they escaped.

In another statement which was issued by the Provincial commisioner this morning it has been reported that three suspects that were wanted for at least ten number cases were shot and fatal wounded in a shootout at kwaDlangezwa area in Empangeni area in the early hours of Friday , 26 July 2024
The KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Stabilization Team, which also forms part of Operation Vala uMgodi, operationalised intelligence about the suspects who where hiding at house in KwaDlangezwa. When the police announced their presence, the suspects opened fire, sparking a shootout which ended with the three suspects fatally wounded.
The suspects, who were also alleged to have been involved in the ATM bombing incident in Esikhaleni which left one suspect fatally wounded on Thursday, were found in possession of at least two firearms. The crime scene was yet to be properly searched for more exhibits.
The Provincial Commissioner of KwaZulu-Natal Lieutenant General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi has reiterated that criminals who shoot at the police should expect the same kind of response. "Police officers have a mandate to arrest and bring perpetrators to justice, however if police find themselves under gunfire, the only option they have in order to come out alive is through the return of fire", said Lieutenant General Mkhwanazi.
